Pink polka dots on their skirts, diamante encrusted shoes, sweet hearts on their stockings and playful flowers in their hair all tied up in big beautiful bows. Alannah Hill’s exclusive soirée went off without a hitch. On Tuesday night at 7:00pm beautiful ladies and social butterfly’s joined the Queens Plaza store and staff from around the state to be one of the first to sneak a peak at Alannah Hill’s new High Summer collection.
The staff were dressed head to toe in the likes of ‘let’s play house’, ‘my feminine wiles’ and ‘sweet like cinnamon’ clothing while a handful of models fluttered around playing dress ups and working hard to strut the latest sweet looks. The girls were dressed perfectly in sweet summer attire and the signature ‘over the top’ sparkling feminine accessories.
The atmosphere of the night was brilliant. The catering style screamed ‘candy buffet’ and was fit for a princess. There were high tea stands housing mini cupcakes in all kinds of colours and flavours, pink musk sticks and sphere vases holding lindt chocolate balls. I should not forget to mention the champagne bar and cups of hot and iced raspberry tea. I felt as though I was living a life like Barbie inside of a giant dolls house having tea party’s and trying on new looks.
The best part was, it was a chance to receive great styling tips. As the store was not overcrowded, the Alannah Hill girls went to great lengths to dedicate time and coordinate outfits for every willing guest. While my party tried on pretty pinks frocks and gorgeous bow belts, I was offered a makeup touch up by David Jones’ Mac makeup artist. I am happy to offer Alannah Hill a glowing review as it was definitely a night to remember and I can’t wait to feel like a party princess again at their next event.
