From the age of eight I dreamt of a white Christmas.
Snowmen in the parks, warm mittens on my hands and cosy knitted jumpers filled my dreams as a young girl.
However having a Christmas in Brisbane only leaves the warm shining sun, lush green gardens and barbecues by the swimming pool – not that I am complaining!
This Christmas I decided to bring a little snow to the house with a creative take on a snow globe. Homemade of course! Today I will share my tips so you can make one of your own.
Fake snow – preferably shredded plastic or white polystyrene balls
Glass bowl or round glass vase
Decoration for the inside – I selected a white reindeer
Firstly, Clean and dry the glass vase before filling just under half of it with the fake snow. Next place the decoration on the inside, making sure to get the feet partly under the snow. Then sprinkle with a pinch of fake snow for a special snowing touch.
This festive season at Emily Rose we are loving the fusion of natural wood with simple modern designs. We have cut slabs of wood and placed a few underneath the vase.
This wonderful take on a snow globe gives your home a beautiful and unique look this Christmas.
Make your own creation and share it with us today.
Sharing the love,
