Located in the old heritage listed Coronation Hotel opposite Pauls Milk Factory in South Brisbane is a nautical restaurant – The Milk Factory Kitchen and Bar.
The venue is designed as a restaurant by day for the local workers and the suburb’s art and theatre crowd and a funky bar by night with a few good beats and live music booked by Bluebeard Music.
The Milk Factory Kitchen and Bar is decked out with witty treasures such as old Australian advertising, an original Simplex fire extinguisher and antique scuba divers helmets.
The handmade bar is an impressive sight, made from recycled river bridge wood and topped with all of the necessary ingredients to make rum and classic cocktails.
The restaurant offers a floating menu that portrays the travel journeys of the business owners. The menu finds inspiration from the likes of Hawaii, Japan, Korea, East China and the Philippines, bringing in hard-to-find and unique ingredients as a souvenir for Brisbane foodie’s.
The gyozas are a great pick from the menu, with a secret smoking technique that makes for a delicious meal.
While The Milk Factory Kitchen and Bar has a great range for the local and visiting carnivores, the kitchen crew can cater for vegetarians and special requests when available.
