Ballet Revolución has returned to Brisbane after a series of sold-out shows across Europe and Asia.
Direct from Cuba, the show returns backed by a 19-strong dance troupe and an 8-piece band performing a slew of recent hits, as well as classical numbers.
Choreographed by Brisbane-native Aaron Cash, along with Cuban choreographer Roclan Gonzalez Chavez, Ballet Revolución presents a unique fusion of contemporary, classical, and Cuban dance.
Highlights included the “Mambo”, “Take Me To Church”, “Purple Rain”, as well as a very technical routine using chairs as props.
Backed by a live band performing both classical and contempory songs, with stand-out performances from Yeleny Aguirre Camacho, Lianett Rodriguez Gonzalez, and Ariel Himeliz Mejica.
