Written by Amy Schumer and directed by Judd Apatow, the aptly named Trainwreck is a film you’ll want to look away from, but just cannot.
Amy Townsend’s (Amy Schumer) love life is far from tame. Living by her father’s mantra ‘monogamy isn’t realistic’, she hilariously navigates her way through numerous one-night stands, all while partaking in a not so committed relationship.
But true to any good storyline, her lifestyle is compromised when she meets Aaron (Bill Hader) – a fidelity-loving monogamist who has Amy in his sights.
In your face, honest and filled with cringe worthy moments, Trainwreck is a combination of a well-written script mixed with clever improvisation.
It also successfully debuts athletes John Cena and LeBron James as skilful actors with an especially funny scene where Cena’s character attempts to talk dirty.
Filled with clever character rhetoric and continually pushing boundaries, Trainwreck is a must see for anyone who is a fan of Schumer’s witty comedic styling.
