Blind Date French Film Festival

Blind date is a hilarious and heart warming comedy that will leave you wanting more.

It is easy to see why Blind Date won the audience award at the COLCOA French Film Festival 2015.

First time director Clovis Cornillac has directed and co-written this production and the multi talented man also co-stars with Melanie Bernier, who gives shining performance as his newly arrived next door neighbour.

Cornillac, a rather solitary OCD character and designer of elaborate puzzles does his best to frighten off Melanie in an attempt to keep his peace and quiet.

However Melanie, a classically trained pianist soon uncovers his mischief and has a few spare cards up her sleeve to pay him back.

An altogether unlikely romance blossoms in the most unconventional way as they decide not to see each other and not even know each others name, preferring instead to call each other ‘watsit’ and ‘whosit’.

Both actors give a fine performance and are supported by the delightful Lilou Fogli (Melanies on screen sister and Cornillacs real life partner/co-writer) and Philippe Duquesne who plays Cornillacs long suffering friend.

If you like romance, comedy or just want to catch an enjoyable movie then this is definitely one to see in the upcoming festival.
