5 Free mummy and me fitness classes

Forget the babysitter and leave the purse at home with free fitness classes for new mums and their bubs.

These classes are a great way to tone that baby belly or Simply keep fit while meeting other friendly mothers along the way.

1. Bubacise – Medibank Feel Good Program

Whether you’re a member or not, Medibank is currently running a range of free fitness programs in Brisbane to encourage active lifestyles, including this effective and fun class. 

Held in the picturesque surroundings of the South Bank Parklands on Wednesday mornings, Bubacise will help you strengthen and tone your body while introducing motor development in your baby. 

No booking is required however be sure to get there early to secure your free-to-hire yoga mat.

2. Mums Boxing

Got any frustrations ready to let out? Running Thursday mornings at Perth Street Park in Camp Hill, Mums Boxing is a high intensity class, perfect for the fitness fanatic. 

Including interval training and boxing activities, this free class welcomes all mums and babies with no booking needed.

3. Fitness and Bubs Aqua Strength Training

Mums, dads, grandparents and all care-givers are welcome in this unique and entertaining fitness class. 

Fitness and Bubs Aqua Strength Training at the Jindalee Pool will have you working on your aqua aerobics without you noticing, while your baby safely enjoys the water by your side. 

While the class itself and the baby swim seats are free, normal pool entry fees apply.

4. Baby Boot Camp

Running Friday mornings in beautiful Hawthorne Park, Baby Boot Camp is for mums looking to rebuild their strength, tone their body and work on their overall fitness. 

A great way to meet and share experiences with other mums, this post-natal fitness class will have you enjoying the outdoors while working up a sweat.

5. Fit Mums Pilates

Fit Mums Pilates aims to help mums build strength and power their bodies from the inside out while getting out and meeting other mums. 

Using a combination of Pilates exercises to work the whole body, this fitness class is open to mums and babies.
