The First Monday in May will hit the cinemas this May.
It will be a non-glamourised documentary about The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s most attended fashion exhibition in history, “China: Through The Looking Glass.”
Directed by Andrew Rossi, the film will take a critical look at Chinese-inspired Western fashions by Costume Institute curator Andrew Bolton.
The First Monday in May will allow the audience to form close and personal opinions about John Galliano, Karl Lagerfeld, Rihanna, Anna Wintour and other icons in both the elite fashion industry and in Hollywood.
The film will go behind the scenes of the seemingly glamorous high-end fashion extravaganza to reveal the uphill battles, backbreaking work and blood, sweat and tears that makes it all possible.
