Our journey in the Haval H8

The crew at Brisbane Weekender teamed up with the uber talented radio station Hit 105 and super sporty car dealer Performax International to experience the Haval H8.

With only one week to push this luxe 4WD to the max, the crew planned long country day trips and sleek city restaurants.

While the Haval H2 works well as a smaller city vehicle and the Haval H9 looks brilliant for family vacations, the Haval H8 is the perfect fit in the middle with 4WD capabilities and a nack for fitting into tight car spaces (thanks reverse camera!).

On route to Matt Moran’s fabulous restaurant, Aria Brisbane, Brisbane Weekender drove the H8 into a nearby secure carpark. The height in the 4WD gave clearance to the pipes and roof (thanks sunroof!) and weaved it’s way into a near impossible car space with the rear parking assist.

The Haval H8 rips through large puddles of water and handles elements of Brisbane’s flash flooding (don’t try anything unsafe at home) – making the H8 perfect for a fun yet reliable and safe set of wheels.

The crew travelled far and wide to experience the capabilities from Bribie to skinny and winding mountain roads up Mt Mee. However the best test of the car was on bumpy dirt tracks around Camp Mountain.

The Haval H8 gives off a luxury vibe while handling the necessities of a family lifestyle and some of the tools every beastly 4WD should have.
