It’s that time of year again when Brisbanites get a taste of true international culture with the 20th annual Spanish Film Festival.
Exclusively at Palace Cinemas, the Spanish Film Festival is excited to announce a sneak peek of it’s 2017 program.
The festival will kick off with the sexy and daring Spanish box office hit Kiki, Love to Love.
This hilarious and complex comedy explores love, sex and marriage through five interwoven stories taking place over a long hot summer in Madrid. This colourful and fun opening night film will be followed by a party, catering and dancing.
The Centrepiece film and winner of Best First Feature at the Berlin International Film Festival, Summer 1993, is one of the most evocative and affecting depictions of childhood seen in years.
The Closing Night film, The Trip to Spain, has Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon together again in what is the third chapter of the series. They pick up where they left off in the Trip to Italy and continue with semi-fictional, spouse free raconteurial ramblings and a tour of some of the best restaurants in Spain for the UK’s Observer.
This year’s line up is sure to please. There’s even a little something for the kids thrown in with films Ozzy and Zip & Zap and The Captains Island.
