Celebrate fresh produce, wines and Jazz at Golden Pig Food and Wine School this June

Dine with See Saw Wines winemaker Justin Jarrett and Golden Pig Food & Wine School owner Katrina Ryan for THE lunch of June.

As Brisbane leads itself into the chilly winter weather, guests will be treated to a soul warming feast of Mandagery Creek Venison Osso Bucco with Streaky Bacon and Cannellini Beans, and Roast Trunkey Pork with Sour Morello Cherry Sauce.

The menu will showcase Second Mouse cheeses as well as hazelnuts, apples and pears and other regional produce from Orange in New South Wales.

The hearty dishes will be carefully created by Katrina who was impressively former Head Chef in Neil Perry’s famous ‘Rockpool’ restaurant in Sydney.

While Katrina creates tantilising flavours and colourful dishes guests are invited to relax with a variety of fine wines from New South Wales’ See Saw Wines.

Guests are invited to chat with Justin about his winemaking experience and processes and linger over the subtle and prominent notes in each variety ready for enjoyment.

Take note of the winery itself as a business that started with farmers and grape growers before producing gold trophy winning and well balanced varieties at an average of $25 a bottle.

Lunch will be set in the Newstead cafe with totally chilled music by Brisbane’s own Jazz singer Tenille West.

This food, wine and jazz event is the perfect way to unwind, let your creative juices flow and warm the soul on a Brisbane winter weekend.
