Live the GC high life with a Sofitel drive and stay escape

Plan your next getaway at Sofitel Broadbeach, Gold Coast with their incredible drive and stay package.

Recommended for a fancy long weekend, the generous package screams ultimate luxury for anyone and everyone who jumps at the chance to live like a Hollywood socialite for a while.

Brisbane Weekender’s day 1

Upon arrival, you and your hubby, wifey or partner in crime are treated to a bottle of bubbles (or local red or white) in the very French Bistro 3 and a lavish cheese platter almost too pretty to devour.

Choose a table by the glam Hollywood style pool and cabanas or a cosy nook in the more formal dining areas.

We suggest upgrading to a luxury ocean view spa suite to carry on with pre-dinner drinks and a breathtaking view over the golden sand, never ending blue ocean and surrounding cliffs (not to mention this view stretches all the way from your balcony to loo!).

After taking in the sunset over Broadbeach get yourself a table at Sofitel’s two hatted Room 81. Purchase a degustation for two (*spend $99) and your table will be treated to a complimentary bottle of wine when booking the drive and stay package.

Room 81 boast up-market seasonal dishes inspired by French and modern Australian culture, including memories from Chef de Cuisine Sam Moore’s childhood like the onion soup his grandmother would dish up weekly.

The wine list was awarded Two Glass Seal with local Australian and French selections including pungent reds from Bordeaux.

Brisbane Weekender’s day 2

If you’re an early bird you can catch a stunning sunrise off your balcony or simply open the curtains and watch dreamily from your comfortable king bed.

Your breakfast downstairs features organic black nitro coffee, tea and espresso made to order, a chocolate fountain and cold and hot savoury favourites.

Book your preferred BMW wheels (we went for the black luxe Convertible 430i), pump the music up and feel the wind on your hair as you drive up and down the Gold Coast’s infamous esplanade, Tedder Avenue and past Seaworlds roller coaster rides to the spit.

We pulled into Marina Mirage for a lazy Sunday seafood lunch and kept our eyes peeled for a celeb spotting (thanks Tommy Hilfiger for passing by our fancy waterfront table).

Drive the BMW wheels back to the hotel where the warm and friendly staff swiftly open your door and park the car.

Head back to your luxury ocean view spa room for a calming tea, a bubble bath with spa jets and light tunes with the docking station.

The dining hubs surrounding Sofitel have expansive dining options from takeaway in your dream bed with TV to modern restaurants.

Brisbane Weekender’s day 3

It’s hard to say no to a sleep in with Sofitel’s complimentary eye masks to order followed by and a lazy breakfast at Bistro 3 and some time to read a good magazine by the pool, take in the ocean view and take your partner in crime for long walks along the beach.

Take advantage of the in-room pillow menu, convenient power point plugs in every corner, fully stocked mini bar, robes, slippers and expansive view.

Sofitel Gold Coast will make your next holiday unforgettable with charming staff (some who’ll speak to you in French when you’re inclined), little touches that make your feel the hotel goes above and beyond, amazing dining and breathtaking views.
