5 wineries to visit in Queensland

With warm weather most of the year Queensland produces a number of incredible red and white varieties.

Over the past decade Queensland’s wine industry has grown significantly, including the breathtaking Granite Belt, the beautiful estates in Toowoomba and the South Burnett region.

We’ve listed 5 wineries we think are worth the visit!

1. Witches Falls Winery, Mt Tamborine

Grab a group of mates and lounge around on the bean bags amongst the vines. Their prophecy range is an absolutely must to enjoy there an take home!

2. Kingsley Grove Estate, Kingaroy

This family run estate has been around since 1998. With 10 hectares, a fully sustainable berry to bottle approach and a ‘Queensland’ range, this winery is a must for the true Queensland local.

The merlot 2006 is a popular variety at the winery.

3. Crane Wines, Kingaroy

While you’re in the area pop over to Crane Wines and take in the sites at the boutique winery and romantic b&b.

The grand colonial homestead, rustic cellar door and beautiful views will give you amazing Insta pictures.

The dry verdelho is a good pick in the summer time.

4. Preston Peak Wines, Toowoomba

A manicured estate awaits eager wine buffs.

The viticulturalist at the winery takes care to produce quality cool-climate wines with hand picked grapes that form fine European influenced wines.

Home to some of the best reds (not to mention amazing weddings) in Queensland.

Visit Preston Peak winery in the spring time and you can catch the Toowoomba flower carnival in all of its glory at the same time.

5. Summits Estate, Granite Belt

Catch a magnificent sunset at this winery after one of their wonderful events like music by the vines.

If you’re lucky enough, grab tickets to the areas pinnacle event – winter solstice – and you’ll surely be impressed!
