Blockbuster is back! Literally!
The familiar feeling of another comic book movie sees Vers, a Kree super-soldier, crashing back down to Earth into a Blockbuster video store we all frequented in the 90s.
After a mission led by Vers mentor and Kree squadron leader, Yon-Rogf (played by Jude Law) goes sour, Vers arrival at earth spurs memories of a past life on the dial-up Internet era with plenty of loading bars and technical problems.
But that’s not our heroine’s biggest problem. She is caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her alien nation and a shape shifting force that will keep you guessing.
Set in 1995, Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson, uses her powers to uncover the mystery behind her past on Earth and the story of how she absorbed an energy core turning her into a flyingweapon of mass destruction.
Captain Marvel isn’t alone, unlocking the mysteries with the help of Samuel L. Jackson reprising his role as Fury, before he was the head of SHIELD.
Rest assured, there’s eruptive action, speed-of-sound flight and good songs to boot.
