The distinguished restaurant, ARIA Brisbane, features sophistication and understated elegance with splendid sweeping views over the river and the Story Bridge.
Owned by well-known chef Matt Moran, who occasionally makes an appearance in the kitchen, and restaurateur, Peter Sullivan, the fine dining restaurant has been awarded two coveted Chef’s Hats at the Brisbane Times Queensland Good Food Awards.
The two-level dining room at ARIA Brisbane showcases earth toned décor with a potted garden of orchards, white table cloths with silver service and floor to ceiling glass walls that bring in the natural light from outside.
Created by head sommelier, Matthew Dunne, the respected and praised wine list includes wines from national and international renowned wineries and boutique producers.
While the extensive list of wines can be matched with the tasting menu or the one, two or three course meals, the NV La Tordera Prosecco di Valdobbiadene from Veneto in Italy denotes sweet and fruity tones, making it a light and refreshing choice to be enjoyed while perusing the food menu.
The food at ARIA Brisbane is delicate, succulent and is always prepared with care and fine attention to detail.
For entrée, the Oysters, which are freshly shucked and served with caviar, bean shoot and celery vinaigrette, are light, fresh and have been handled as they should be.
The Holmbrae Chicken, which has been poached and plated with jamón, broad beans and almonds and the Silken Tofu with a salad of avocado, toasted grains and ponz are exceptional choices to start.
The Barramundi for main is served as a roast fillet with shelled and fresh red claw yabbies, delicate heads of cauliflower, and a unique preserved lemon and black tahini that makes for an interesting selection with unique and unsurpassed flavours.
The Fried Brussel Sprouts with ginger and shallot dressing and the Truffle Mash are superb choices to compliment most mains.
Visitors to ARIA Brisbane are in good hands with superb wines paired to the finest of dishes with a level of care and attention that runs through the two hatted restaurant.
