This year we’re embracing all things festive as the silly season kicks off early.
With reindeer socks, homemade brownies (eer yeah they’re actually to eat now!) and everything knitted on our Secret Santa lists, we’re super excited to find a Twilight market in South Brisbane this weekend.
The inaugural Greek Orthodox Community of St George Ladies Auxiliary is set to bring the church courtyard to life with creative festive decor and a bustling strip of market stalls and food carts – all under the stars.
We’ll be checking out the trinkets and handmade crafts by local creatives – oh and don’t forget the strawberry jam for yiayia and chocolates for grandad!
But the market isn’t just for cool finds to impress your loved ones on Christmas morning. We’ve rounded up a few mates to help us get through the totally drool worthy fish and chips, Greek loukoumades and ice cold frappes. We’re looking to forward to settling into the night with our goodies and listening to the fairytale Christmas carols in the backdrop – maybe even a kiss under the mistletoe if we’re lucky.
To top it off, we hear there’s going to be a Santa visit so it’s definitely one to bring the entire family to. Plus there’s no need to scamble for a park with the little ones because Secure Parking Brisbane is offering visitors of the Twilight Christmas Markets $5 parking at the 10 Browning Street Car Park in South Brisbane.
There’s free entry (awesome!!) but any funds raised from the markets will support families in need with gifts and food this Christmas.
