Prepare to be dazzled as the World Food Markets hit the stage at Brisbane Powerhouse, presenting an array of international cuisine from Brisbane’s best food trucks.
As one of the many exciting events that will take place during the Wonderland festival, the markets will feature a variety of global food that includes Asian street cuisine, Spanish paella, gourmet dumplings and custom made chocolates.
The husband and wife team, Shannon D’Souza and Julian D’Souza, envisaged the foodie oasis after finding inspiration in the food truck revolution that has found recent popularity in the US.
Following 20 years of experience in working in both casual and fine dining restaurants, Julian believes that Brisbane has joined in on the celebration of food vendors.
The couple offer a delightful alternative to expensive and enclosed dinners, where throughout the Wonderland festival, the community can enjoy global food experiences in a social environment.
Meanwhile, circus acts and the Kombi-DJ provide an entertaining and exciting atmosphere.
Not only will festival goers be able wander through the internationally enriched Wold Food Markets, they will also have an opportunity to support small businesses and encourage entrepreneurship.
The World Food Markets will open on Friday December 5 and will be held each Friday, Saturday and Sunday until December 14 at the Brisbane Powerhouse. The Wonderland festival will begin on December 3.
