Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

The latest instalment of Marvelโ€™s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 has achieved that rare feat of being even better than the first.

The original instalment was a huge hit and Vol. 2 is set to be even better.

Set two-to-three months after the first film, the Guardians travel throughout the cosmos and struggle to keep their new-found family together, while helping Peter Quill learn more about his true parentage and stopping an enemy who threatens to destroy the entire galaxy.

Director James Gunn has revived Chris Pratt as Peter Quill (alias Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana as Gamora, and Dave Bautista as Drax; alongside Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel lending their voices to Rocket and Baby Groot.

Michael Rooker again plays Yondu and Karen Gillan as Nebula also return, potentially as new members of the Guardians. Pom Klementieff joins the Guardians as Mantis.

Kurt Russell plays the evil demi-god Ego the Living Planet, and he also happens to be Peterโ€™s father.

The Guardians come face-to-face with a new threat in Elizabeth Debicki as Ayesha, the golden High Priestess and leader of the Sovereign people.

Sylvester Stallone has a small part as Staka Ogord, leader of the Ravengers and Stan Lee also makes a cameo appearance.

The final scenes set the scene for a greater appearance by Stallone in the next instalment.

Marvel Studios, as a part of Walt Disney Pictures, has thrown all their talent into this production and delivered a funny, exciting and action-packed movie that received an unheard of 100% score in screen testing.

With a sound track full of retro songs that are all as good as the first instalment and some dance moves by Baby Groot that are sure to be a favourite, this is a movie for all generations as should not be missed.
