The great fictional legend about the archetypal boy raised by apes in the African jungle has been retold.
Directed by English filmmaker David Yates, The Legend of Tarzan was set in the 1800’s with a message still relevant to modern society.
Adapted from Edgar Rice Burroughs’ original Tarzan of the Apes novels and the silent picture and american action adventure films since 1918, The Legend of Tarzan (2016) focused on strong messages about bullying, respecting others’ differences and preserving cultures, natural habitats and wildlife.
The Legend of Tarzan follows on from these nostalgic films with a focus on Tarzan (performed by Alexander Skarsgård), now known as John Clayton III, after he left Africa to live in Victorian England with his wife Jane (Margot Robbie).
However false orders by King Leopold take the couple back into the dangerous jungle, where they fight to save their African homes, friends and family.
The filmmakers achieved believable animation of predators, Tarzan’s ape family and wildlife friends in the African jungle.
The American action adventure film, The Legend of Tarzan, extends and already incredible story line, adding new life to a favourite childhood film.
