Ricky Martin made a thunderous entrance for his One World Tour to Brisbane as he appeared from above the lights and choreographed backup dancers in all-white, making for a passionate, enticing, gleeful and insanely entertaining production.
The crowd rose to their feet for Ricky after being warmed up by the always-radiant Australian singer-songwriter Delta Goodrem, who generated electricity with her incredible talent for vocals and the piano.
Martin set the theme for his One World Tour as one big party with love, happiness and an appreciation for giving to others and living life to the fullest.
The Grammy winning international idol expressed gratitude for his duo’s with Goodrem and The Voice Australia 2014 star Jackson Thomas as well as the extraordinary guitar and saxophone solo’s by his supporting musicians.
Martin maintained a high all night from the stage to the audience as her performed 1999 hits Livin La Vida Loca, Drop It On MeShe’s All I Ever Had and Shake Your Bon-Bon with special effects and unique props that sent out an electric energy heightened and the audience experience.
The superstar interacted with the audience throughout the night and included them in his traditional music competition. Martin divided the crowd in two and amplified the party atmosphere as he encouraged them to “fly free” and express their vocals and dance moves.
“I want you to jump into the attitude of I don’t care what people think of me, feel the heat,” shouted Martin. “Are you ready to share your energy with me,” he cried before the crowd belted into song and performed their best dance moves.
“Without music there is no party. And without party there is no life,” affirmed Martin before he encourage the audience to “keep on dancing (and) keep on smiling.”
