The one hundred staff, including dancers, wardrobe, medical, music and technical staff, are set to impress as they cart four 40-foot-high shipping containers with props, sets, over 300 costumes, 250 pairs of pointe shoes and make-up in order to bring the classic tale to life.

Artistic Director of The Australian Ballet David McAllister stated, “Since we last toured California all those years ago the company has evolved incredibly, developing a uniquely Australian style that distinguishes us from the world’s other great ballet companies. Murphy’s Swan Lake is the perfect showcase for our individuality, technique, athleticism and storytelling.”

McAllister said he is sure that Swan Lake will delight The United Stated of America as it has continued to do so across the globe.

The Australian Ballet will be returning home in February 2015 with an exclusive Sydney season at the Capitol Theatre, ready to take breaths away with an incredible ballet.
