The Illusionists 2.0 astounded Brisbane with the future generation of magic.
Demonstrating nothing less than a magnificent display of illusion, the six powerful magicians left the audience in bewilderment of the art of magic.
When the lights dimmed an explosion of illumination began. As a united force, the illusionists began to engage the crowd with exhilarating technologies.
Amongst the stalls, imaginations were running wild. The mental and optical illusionists brought audiences into the live mix of the impossible, the unusual and the death defying.
With no act the same as the previous, unsuspecting members of the audience were invited to brave the stage and all of the tricks that came with it.
Clutching the bottom of their seats, the crowd watched in anticipation as ‘the chosen few’ were entangled in risky games of chicken, astounding illusions and an obligatory mock proposal from one young and in-love couple.
This electrifying mix of non-mainstream magic, danger and anticipation caught all spectators by surprise.
As the endless reign of clapping came over the final act in Concert Hall like thunder, the words of De Matos came to mind once again. He believed the audience was “amazed with the overall experience.”
As the wide-eyed and bushy tailed crowd left the room I overheard a few remarks about the incredible talent of the six magicians and the heart pounding feelings coming from the audience.
Those who came to witness a spellbinding performance were blown away by an erroneous perception of reality. On show until January 27, The Illusionists 2.0 has become one of the most talked about performances of 2014.
